Infestação de Tetranychus ogmophallos Ferreira & Flechtmann (Acari: Tetranychidae) em Amendoim Forrageiro (Arachis pintoi Krapov. & Greg.) nos Estados do Acre e Minas Gerais

Resumo. Foi verificado um surto populacional do ácaro Tetranychus ogmophallos Ferreira & Flechtmann em plantas de amendoim forrageiro, Arachis pintoi Krapov. & Greg. cv. Belmonte, em consórcio com pastagem, no Município de Rio Branco, Estado do Acre, Brasil e em A. pintoi no Município de Sete Lagoas, MG. No Acre, as plantas estavam recobertas por densa teia e com nítida perda de área fotossintetizante e amarelecimento. Também foi observado que o gado não se alimentava das plantas infestadas. Este se constitui no primeiro registro de T. ogmophallos no Estado de Minas Gerais e o primeiro surto populacional desta espécie no Estado do Acre.
Infestation of Tetranychus ogmophallos Ferreira & Flechtmann (Acari: Tetranychidae) in Plants of Forage Peanut in Acre and Minas Gerais States, Brazil
Abstract. A populational outbreak of mite Tetranychus ogmophallos Ferreira & Flechtmann was found on forage peanut plant, Arachis pintoi Krapov. & Greg. cv. Belmonte, in consortium with pasture in Rio Branco municipality, Acre State and Sete Lagoas municipality, Minas Gerais State, Brazil. In Acre state the plants were covered with dense web and had accented loss of photosynthetic area and yellowing. It was also observed that cattle were not feeding on infested plants. This constitutes the first record of T. ogmophallos in the state.
